Just in time for spring, New Balance teams up with Queens, New York brand, Aimé Leon Dore, in a new iteration of the distinct silhouette of the 997. The vintage silhouette is updated with pebbled and suede leather overlays on its mesh upper. Punchy colours, navy, yellow and pink are offered against the textured leather overlays surrounding the ankle, while the rest of the upper offers a tonal spectrum. The superlative ‘N’ logo is layered with suede panelling, with additional branding in contrast embroidery at the tongue and heel cap, debossing at the outsole and prints at the midsole. A simple woven Aimé Leon Dore label at the insole is the only indicator of the collaboration. Both the box and the insole feature an intricate, vernal peony print. These sneakers are completed with New Balance’s proprietary ENCAP® midsole cushioning and XAR-1000 outsole with stabilization support. This collaboration is set to hit stores April 19th; keep an eye on HAVEN’s Releases page for more information.
