Fall/Winter 2018 marks Stone Island’s Shadow Project’s tenth year since it’s inception. Now in its twenty-first collection, the collaboration between Stone Island and Errolson Hugh has repeatedly re-imagined the boundaries of modern menswear. Merging Stone Island’s unrivaled depth of research with the creative perspectives of Errolson Hugh and his team, Shadow Project has maintained its fundamentally unique process of exploration, development, and expression.
FW18 aims to further refine the concepts of utility, nuance, and experimentation that has always existed at the core of this capsule. Solutions to the storage needs of the everyday wearer are rendered as an innovative set of pocket schemes. Flank and drop pockets serve as speedy methods of object storage and retrieval. Valuable extra storage space is discreetly added to knitwear pieces through the newly engineered Strata Pocket. The collection also introduces the Encase Panel, a unique mechanism to fasten and unfasten your garment.
Fabric research this season includes the brilliant SCARABEO; a conspicuously iridescent all over print reflective, as well as the exceedingly practical and versatile wardrobe foundations POLY-OPTIMA and POLY-HIDE 2L. NASLAN LIGHT completes the fabric spectrum with its soft organic texture and durable synthetic composition.
Graphics this season manifest as two distinct all-over patterns, as well as corresponding placed motifs. Special 10 Year commemorative icons replace the standard labeling elements for this season only.
