In our latest Spring 2018 Product Focus, we take the opportunity to provide a briefing on some of our favourite spring-ready items. Highlights from a breadth of products include accessories from Peanuts & Co. and footwear from visvim®, Needles, and Vans Vault. A large array of layering pieces are featured from such brands as Human Made, Ten c, NEIGHBORHOOD, CAV EMPT, KAPITAL, Sacai, and Stone Island. Functionality, craftsmanship and inherent style are the common threads that span this product range.

NEIGHBORHOOD M-51 .MP / CN-COAT OLIVE DRAB

The iconic M-51 coat is reinterpreted this season in a sound Tetoron™ and cotton blend. Intricate panelled construction offers a distinct look. Two flap pockets at the waist offer considerable storage while metal snap buttons appear at the pockets and chest. Cinching at the waist and hem offer a customizable fit, while seasonal patches and branding throughout complete the piece.

NEIGHBORHOOD X PORTER WP / CN-DAY PACK BLACK

NEIGHBORHOOD teams up with notable luggage fabricator, Porter, in creating two distinct bags for the season. The medium-sized WP / CN-Day Pack is made from a hard-wearing cotton and polyester blend, strewn with seasonal patches. This backpack offers two zippered compartments, both with ample storage. Padded shoulder straps and a signature woven branded label complete the piece.

NEIGHBORHOOD X PORTER WP / CN-HELMET BAG OLIVE DRAB

Additioanlly, the WP / CN-Helmet Bag features military design in its construction and details. Two exterior patch pockets features metal snap closures, while the large main compartment features two internal pockets and is completed with a heavy-duty zipper across the top. Seasonal NEIGHBORHOOD patches are found throughout the bag, with screenprinted branding at the base.

NEEDLES X ASYMMETRIC GHILLIE SNEAKER

Needles’ Keizo Shimuzu offers an masterly, asymmetrical sneaker this season. The densely-knit cotton canvas and suede upper features a ‘Ghillie’ style lacing design, while the rubber toecap features an asymmetrical design. The pair come mismatched in their colourway. Having been fully dip-dyed for natural variation and uniqueness in each shoe.

STONE ISLAND X COTTON FLEECE GARMENT DYED HAND BRUSHED COLOR TREATMENT HOODED SWEAT SHIRT

A classic hooded sweatshirt crafted from mid-weight cotton fleece. This piece features a distinct garment dye and hand-brushed colour treatment: an exclusive manual treatment that creates a bicolour effect known as ‘colour corrosion’. The identifiable Stone Island compass patch logo sits at the chest, while ribbed cuffs and hem, and drawstring hood round out the details.

STONE ISLAND NYLON METAL CAP

Stone Island takes advantage of its iconic Nylon Metal textile in creating this five-panel cap. The Nylon Metal textile features a high lustre, nylon yarn weave with with a trilobate structure. The result is a textile with an iridescent sheen. Ventilation eyelets and adjustable rear fastening strap offer enhanced comfort, while a large logo patch at the brim completes the piece.

CAV EMPT CORRESPONDENT JACKET

The Correspondent Jacket offers a replete selection of patch pockets, aligned against the sleeves, as well as at the front and back. A mid-weight cotton canvas comprises the jacket, providing unmatched durability. The jacket features detachable sleeves and further doubles as a vest. The hood is also detachable, while a polyester mesh lining and signature rubber sleeve tab complete the piece.

CAV EMPT PIXEL EMBROIDERY PULLOVER

The Pixel Embroidery Pullover features distinct, intricate embroidery throughout. The front features a selection of patch pockets with Velcro®-sealed flaps. Drawstrings appear at the hood, waist and hem, for concise and personalized sizing. The jacket features an enzyme wash, for a subtle, worn-in look.

HUMAN MADE MEMORIAL JACKET

Inspired by American garments of the 1930’s and 40’s, the Memorial Jacket features custom hand-drawn prints throughout, reflecting on drawings in commemoration of military service and college graduation. The workwear-style jacket is built from a sturdy cotton canvas, and features a splayed collar, three large patch pockets at the chest. Distinct metal HUMAN MADE buttons appear at the front placket, rounding out the details.

VANS X TAKA HAYASHI SLIP-ON 66 LX

In his latest Vault pack, Taka Hayashi offers two new renditions on classic Vans silhouettes. The intrinsic Slip-On is updated with a supple, woven nubuck leather upper in a dizzying, checkered pattern. The shoe sits on an all-white midsole, aligned with Vans’ signature waffle outsole. Co-branding at the insole and rubber heel stamp complete the piece.

VANS X TAKA HAYASHI CHUKKA 75 LX OPTICAL CHECKERBOARD

Like a desert boot, the Chukka 75 offers a mid-ankle cut with a padded, reinforced collar. The cotton canvas upper is printed with a contrasting, Moiré-checkered pattern. A stark white midsole, Vans signature waffle outsole and embroidered branding at the heel round out the details.

PEANUTS & CO.

Founded by photographer, Yoshiki Suzuki, who wanted to create unique jewelry that embodied his personal experiences on his journeys. Each item is handmade in Japan with the finest materials and meticulously detailed with eccentric, and often bizarre, details. The Horse Wallet Chain is crafted from pure, weighted brass. An intricate horse motif is engraved throughout the chain and keyring. The pendant offers a durable clasp, easily attachable to a beltloop, while the other end offers a single keyring. The Skull Poison Ring is made from premium .925 silver. The ornate skull motif features black cubic zirconia eye detail, and the face of the ring opens to reveal a engraved grim reaper within. Another silver piece, the Large Bero Peanuts, is an impressive pendant with signature “Peanuts” motif engraving and a rose gold tongue. The brass Come Come Bell acts as a pendant, with a hidden bell. Engraved on the bell is the “Come! Come!” motif while zirconia nipples complete the piece. Finally, the Bull Bottle pendant features a screw top, housing a locket pendant within. Zirconia eyes further the unique look of this piece.

KAPITAL 12OZ DENIM BONZE HIYOKU SHIRT (CRASH REMAKE) INDIGO

This traditionally-styled shirt is crafted from a mid-weight, indigo dyed denim with extensive rebuilding: distressed and reupholstered for an incredibly unique piece. With a scooped rear hem, the shirt features western detailing in its front and rear yokes. Flap patch pockets at the chest also mimic traditional western fashion.

KAPITAL 4OZ DENIM MONKEY CISCO (CRASH REMAKE)

The 14oz Denim Monkey Cisco offers a slim, straight-legged fit, crafted from midweight Zimbabwean cotton. These jeans are meticulously damaged and repaired by hand, provide an authentic, vintage appearance. Additional details come in the way of leather jean tag, horizontal rear pocket stitch details and brand tab, along with redline selvedge throughout.

Inspired by the classic Hawaiian shirt, the Crash Denim Rayon Aloha Shirt is crafted from a rayon and silk blend. This composition offers a light, billowing look that retains its shape in wear. Brightly-dyed and vivid colours comprise the intricate, dizzying print. Traditional craftsmanship is seen in such details as the patch pocket at the chest, inset sleeves, wide yoke and splayed collar.

Classic carrying options with modern updates, the HOBO Cotton Nylon Grosgrain is built with a cotton and nylon blend, in a traditional grosgrain weave. TEN-C TEMPEST ANORAK KHAKI

This military-inspired anorak jacket features a zippered front closure with a storm flap, compete with snap button closures. Two large front pockets with both side entry and button flap top entry appear at the front. A high-cut collar and visored hood provides additional weather protection, while a drawstring at the hood and hem allow for user customization. Additionally, this jacket features a modular aspect, allowing for the liner and hood to detach at will. Built with a mid-weight cotton and polyester blend, the piece is crafted and garment-dyed in Japan.

This classic silhouette from visvim® sees updates in its tonal wool and linen construction. The interior is lined with soft cowhide leather, reappearing at the heel panel and the tongue, in a fringed skirt. The insole features unique moisture-wicking attributes, while aluminium eyelets, hand stitched heel plate and a painted tongue tab round out the details.

SACAI FAIR ISLE KNIT

Utilizing the distinct print of Fair Isle, Chitsoe Abe offers a disparate selection this season. Presented in a diffused dyed gradient, this yellow and gray pattern is woven throughout the cotton, wool and linen textile. The jacket most notable features oversized zipper fasteners. The pullover sweater features large ribbing at the collar, cuffs and hem. An inset pocket is woven into the chest of this piece for small storage. The shorts feature a relaxed fit, with contrasting nylon waistband. The drawstring allows for an individual fit. Welt pockets with herringbone taping appear at the front and rear while the zippered fly completes the piece. The socks offer the same diffused pattern in an asymmetrical pairing. The weave provides breathability while the attentive craftsmanship offer enduring wear.
