Hemlock Jacket - Handknit Llama Wool Earth
Our handknit Hemlock Jacket is built with a luxurious and functional llama wool yarn. These premium fibres are hollow on the inside with a large inside diameter that gives them a lighter weight and superior insulation capabilities compared to traditional wools. These ultra-fine hairs also give the garment an extremely soft and luxurious handfeel that surpasses cashmere and baby alpaca. These luxurious wool fibres are then painstakingly hand-spun, working the robust wool into a bulky yarn. Thanks to this process, the wool yarn contains a considerable number of air pockets, further enhancing its heat retention and lightweight feel. The yarn is then hand knit by local artisans in British Columbia to create a custom pattern, paying homage to age old traditions synonymous with the Canadian Pacific Northwest. This centuries-old technique lends to an unmistakable knit that drapes comfortably throughout. Signature bulky waffle knit structure with regular raglan sleeves that help reduce bulk. The chest houses a vertical pocket for secure storage while welt hand pockets can be used to warm hands or for quick access to daily necessities. Finishing details include our signature Horween leather zipper pull, and a custom YKK Excella™ two-way M8 zipper. Handcrafted in Canada.
