HAVEN Schoeller® Dryskin Range

A HISTORY OF INNOVATION FORGED IN THE INDUSTRIAL AGE

Born in an era of innovation and new beginnings Schoeller® has been at the forefront of fabric technology for over 100 years. In 1868, Rudolph Schoeller moved from Breslau to Zürich and set up Switzerland’s first worsted yarn spinning mill in Schaffhausen with the name ”Schoeller & Söhne,” the origin of today’s Schoeller Textil AG. The industrial boom of the mid 19th century drove vast technical progress that automated, rationalized and vastly increased productive capabilities. By the 20th century man-made fibers such as polyamide or elastane arrived in Europe from the USA and began to replace the scratchy and heavy woolen garments that were common at the time. Realizing the vast possibilities of these engineered fibres, Schoeller® begins to develop elastic fabrics and creates the first ever stretch ski pants, revolutionizing the industry and cementing their places as a leader in performance fabrics.

A PIONEER IN SUSTAINABILITY AND FUNCTIONAL, ENGINEERED FABRICS

A pioneer in sustainability, it was the first activewear manufacturer to receive Oko-Tex Standard 100 certification and serves as one of the founding developers of the bluesign® system, which is now an industry standard certification for sustainable manufacturing. Today Schoeller® continues to produce highly-functional and innovative textile technologies for sports, work, lifestyle, protection, medicine and technical applications. Schoeller’s many innovations include its c_change membrane technology, the world’s first intelligent membrane, as well as NanoSphere®, coldblack® and 3XDRY® Bio technologies.

HIGH PERFORMANCE, ALL-SEASON COMFORT WITH AN ELEGANT APPEARANCE

In our search for the most functional and versatile year-round fabric, we utilize Schoeller Dryskin. Crafted in Switzerland, it is commonly used for high-endurance outdoor pursuits due to its high wind and water repellency and UV protection while remaining extremely breathable. With a soft inner and durable face fabric, the doubleweave construction is lightweight and has dynamic, four-way stretch with permanent elasticity that moves effortlessly with your body for complete freedom of movement. These performance capabilities also belie its elegant wool-like appearance and dense handfeel.
