Job Description:
As Logistics Manager at HAVEN, you will play a crucial role in streamlining our supply chain operations. Your responsibilities will encompass managing all aspects of shipping and receiving, coordinating with carriers, ensuring quality control, and optimizing inventory levels across our locations. You will be instrumental in enhancing operational efficiency, maintaining high standards of quality, and contributing to the overall success of our logistics processes. This role requires a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering excellence in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Duties and Responsibilities:
(Including but not limited to)
- Management of Shipping and Receiving: Overseeing the shipping and receiving of goods, ensuring that shipments are sent and received on time, and coordinating with carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Quality Assurance: Inspecting incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, completeness, and condition. Ensuring that products meet quality standards and taking corrective action when necessary.
- Logistics Coordination: Arranging transportation and logistics for outgoing shipments, negotiating with carriers for cost-effective rates, and tracking shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and other necessary documentation.
- Staff Supervision and Training: Managing and training the shipping and receiving team, scheduling staff, and ensuring that employees follow operational protocols.
- Problem Resolution: Addressing and resolving any issues related to shipping delays, damaged goods, discrepancies in inventory, and customer complaints related to logistics. This includes contacting vendors and requesting credit or returns.
- Process Improvement: Continually assessing and improving shipping and receiving processes and systems to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
- Freight Processing: Processing outgoing and incoming shipments to and from vendors, including international or domestic shipments (for HAVEN Brand and multi-brand delivery)
- Inventory Level Optimization: Responsible for collaborating with Retail Managers and Head of Merchandising to determine optimal inventory levels between all locations to maximize sales and ROI.
- Cross-Border Research and Compliance: Deep research into cross-border international customs rules and regulations. Understanding and creating compliance forms and customs forms as needed for the purposes of reducing Cross-border Tariffs.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborating with Production team and other parties to minimize shipping charges. Coordinating timelines to ship via boat instead of air.
- Data Entry: Creating inventory online via Shopify (csv). Creating any other spreadsheets or documentation as needed.
- Workflow Management: Collaborating with Head of Merchandising to determine the order of inventory in Workflow to maximize cashflow and ROI
- Inventory Processing and Prep: Efficiently organize and sort incoming shipments. Manage and coordinate labelling and measuring of products for ecommerce and retail teams.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep all areas of logistics in the office tidy and maintain proper flow of product throughout the warehouse to ensure clutter is minimized and productivity is maximized.
Qualifications and Assets:
A combination of education, experience, technical skills, analytical skills, and communication skills are necessary to be successful in this role
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in logistics, shipping, and receiving, preferably in a retail or e-commerce environment.
- Knowledge of Logistics and Supply Chain: Strong understanding of logistics operations including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and distribution.
- Management Skills: Proven ability to manage and train a logistics team member to aid in your department.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with logistics software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms is a plus.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities to address logistical challenges and improve operational efficiency.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective coordination with internal teams and external partners.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in inventory and documentation.
- Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of shipping regulations, customs documentation, and compliance requirements, especially for cross-border and international shipping.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $20-$25 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
