HERNO LAMINAR

Herno Laminar is a sub-label of the storied outerwear brand Herno under the direction of technical wear specialist Errolson Hugh. Herno was established in 1948 in Italy with a main focus on Men's raincoats. Throughout the 1950s to 1970s, Herno had expanded their catalog to include women's wear. The company became one of the first Italian fashion houses to step into the Japanese market, opening their Osaka Shop in 1971 and eventually reaching further for it's American debut in the 1980s. By the 1990s Herno had cemented itself as an industry leader, producing for the likes of Jil Sander, Armani, Prada, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, and Ralph Lauren through their newly added industrial branch. Currently Herno continues to adapt and develop, incorporating advanced commitment in research of performance engineering and hi-tech textiles. Herno Laminar is the result of this commitment, the collection is named after the physics phenomenon meaning "optimization of the flow". The two year effort of research and development of production techniques for the collection is headed by Errolson Hugh, a name synonymous with Satorial Engineering and creative mastermind behind ACRYNOM and Stone Island Shadow Project. Utilizing laminated GORE-TEX® with thermo-ultrasound seams and the brand's flagship ultra light down injection techniques, the collection is perfectly executed with functional and aesthetic sophistication.
