MAX PITTION
Max Pittion was born on March 1, 1921, in Oyonnax, a town known for its comb manufacturing. His father, Emile Pittion, started making celluloid combs and eyeglasses in the 1920s. After World War II, Max took over the family eyewear factory and expanded it, partnering with fashion brands like Lanvin and Azzaro. By the early 1980s, he had retired, leaving behind a legacy in high-end eyewear. In 2013, The Light Co. and John Mayer re-launched the brand, honoring its heritage with hand-crafted eyewear made in Japan. Each piece is designed with the same quality Max valued.
