Tradition Refined Through Function

For our latest collaboration with storied English shoemaker Tricker’s, we connected with multidisciplinary artist Alex Tedlie-Stursberg at his Vancouver studio and at his recent exhibition at Monte Clark Gallery. Known for his sculptural work and community-based initiatives, Alex brings a hands-on, thoughtful approach grounded in material exploration and inspired by the natural world. His practice reflects a deep engagement with environment and place—values that echo our own commitment to craftsmanship and longevity.

Inspired by the enduring functionality of the original Tramping Shoe, our rendition blends traditional techniques with modern sensibilities. Handcrafted in Northampton, England, each pair is built with longevity in mind, using time-honoured techniques and refined materials. Offered in heavyweight Hidro leather or supple Castorino suede, the shoe is finished with a Goodyear welt, cork-filled midsole, and Vibram Gloxi Cut outsole—balancing durability, comfort, and modern functionality across environments.
