Reflections from Japan

Japan has long been a part of our HAVEN journey as a place we return to season after season, year after year. It continues to shape how we think, create, and live. From our earliest visits when we started our company to our ongoing partnerships, the connection runs deep, built on shared values of craft, culture, and refinement. From the mills that weave our fabrics to the artisans who bring each of our pieces to life, Japan’s influence continues to shape our philosophy of purposeful design and enduring quality.

Our Winter 2025 campaign was photographed by longtime friend Will Goodan in Takashima, Shiga Prefecture, along the still waters of Lake Biwa, where generations have lived in harmony with nature. Surrounded by forested mountains and a slower pace of life, we found reflections of our own ideals - purpose, patience, and attention to detail that bring ease to everyday living.

It’s a landscape that mirrors our values and reminds us that true craftsmanship is not only about making things well, but about living well. Through this shared philosophy, our time in Japan remains more than an inspiration but it’s an essential part of who we are.
