HAVEN / Apapacho World
Bridging Heritage and Modern Living
At HAVEN, our mission has always been to enhance daily experiences through thoughtfully designed products that blend functionality with artistry. We seek out partners who share this vision, crafting pieces that tell a story and add meaning to the spaces they inhabit.
This philosophy aligns perfectly with Apapacho World, a brand dedicated to preserving Mexican craftsmanship while reimagining it for contemporary living. Co-founded by Diana Campos and Farsh Kanji, Apapacho celebrates Mexico's rich cultural heritage through handcrafted artisan wares. Each piece is meticulously crafted from raw materials such as clay, onyx, marble, and volcanic rock, blending contemporary design with ancestral techniques. Their work embodies a deep connection to nature, tradition, and artistry, offering objects that are both functional and timeless.
This inaugural partnership between HAVEN and Apapacho World represents a shared vision of merging heritage craftsmanship with contemporary design. The two objects in the collection—a dual-purpose vase/bookend and a valuables box—showcase the synergy between Apapacho’s distinct aesthetic and HAVEN’s modern sensibilities.
The exclusive capsule collection between HAVEN and Apapacho World highlights marble sourced from the storied mountainous regions of Mexico. These pieces celebrate the natural beauty of raw materials while showcasing meticulous artistry.
Collaborating with master stone artisan Toño González, the pieces are brought to life using a blend of cutting-edge tools and traditional techniques, preserving the authenticity of the material while elevating it to a contemporary context.
The vase/bookend is both sculptural and practical, exemplifying the balance of form and function that defines both brands. Its versatility allows it to seamlessly transition between roles, serving as a striking decor piece or a functional object in any setting.
The valuables box, with it's distinct rigged lid, offers a secure and elegant solution for storing personal treasures. Both pieces highlight HAVEN’s focus on utilitarian design while celebrating Apapacho’s mastery of timeless artistry.
Designed for a refined home or gallery setting, this collection encapsulates the shared ethos of HAVEN and Apapacho World: creating objects that transcend function to become enduring works of art, embodying the spirit of collaboration and cultural dialogue.
Join us Friday, November 22nd at HAVEN Vancouver for an opening reception and special presentation with Apapacho. RSVP required.
