How Thoughful Design Becomes Lasting Product

Each season begins with reflection, a moment to look back and reaffirm our values. For Fall/Winter 2025, that reflection returned us to the idea of permanence: creating lasting products that become part of everyday life. We believe that when something is truly useful, it grows in meaning over time, becoming familiar, dependable, and worth cherishing.

This season continues to draw from our home in British Columbia, where mountain ranges meet the rainy days of the Pacific coast. The interplay of fog, stone, and forest informs a palette of muted neutrals, mineral greys, and earth-tones and lichen green. Textures mirror the landscape itself, rugged yet refined, weather-ready yet sophisticated and rooted in nature and elevated in form.

At our Vancouver studio, product development happens in-house. It’s where new ideas are explored, patterns refined, and design details considered through rounds of iteration and testing. Every concept begins here, before moving into production with our factory partners in Canada and Japan. This process allows us to maintain full creative control and ensure that every garment reflects our standards of craftsmanship, functionality, and fit.

Our creative foundation extends across the Pacific to Japan. A place whose culture, discipline, and devotion to craft have deeply shaped our philosophy. Much of our collection is developed and produced there, through long-standing relationships with skilled artisans and factories who share our respect for material, and long lasting quality. That connection continues to guide how we design, how we make, and how we see the world.

Our exploration of materials continues this season with the addition Japanese wool gabardine and wool denim for warmth and structure, and the Graft workwear set in organic cotton moleskin for durability and comfort. Each was chosen for how it evolves with time, softening and gaining character through wear.

The Turbine Jacket marks our first foray into leather outerwear. Combining elevated craftsmanship with technical innovation, it is crafted in Kanazawa, Japan from drum-dyed sheep leather that is soft, supple, and richly coloured. A GORE-TEX WINDSTOPPER® membrane and PrimaLoft® Gold insulation combine natural warmth and breathability with modern protection. Tough yet sophisticated, it’s a modern evolution of the flight jacket, designed to age beautifully over time.

Knitwear remains a cornerstone. Canadian handknits return with tonal Nordic patterns, while the Highland Knit, made in Wakayama, Japan from a merino-cashmere blend, offers warmth and luxurious hand feel. Our Wool Cashmere Socks, refined over two years, despite the simplicity reflect the same belief, that every piece deserves care and intention.

New footwear collaborations with HOKA and LOWA join returning partners Viberg, Tarvas and Regal, alongside the revival of our Italian-made Catalyst Boot. Each is built for daily life, moving seamlessly across cities, seasons, and terrains. In a world of excess and disposability, we choose the opposite path by crafting fewer things, but better ones.

FW25 continues our ongoing process. Each garment is made to last, to weather the same elements, to soften with time, and to grow richer through experience. Our hope is simple: that these pieces become companions in your daily life, embodying the strength and permanence that define the environment we live in.
