Tailored with Intent
Founded in 2010 by designer Masaharu Uruyama, URU builds on a deep understanding of pattern-making and construction. Drawing from his experience at Comme des Garçons and TakahiroMiyashitaTheSoloist., Uruyama approaches familiar silhouettes with a quiet precision—deconstructing traditional forms and reworking them with new lines, balance, and restraint.
Focused Simplicity
URU is defined by fluid tailoring and quiet construction. Garments are cut with relaxed precision, emphasizing balance through proportion and subtle articulation. Signature silhouettes include draped trousers, collarless jackets, and oversized shirting, often rendered in tonal palettes with occasional pops of vibrant colour that lend contrast without disrupting cohesion.
