In reception of the second groundbreaking collaboration between outerwear innovators The North Face and art originator KAWS, we see a lineup of products that define what each is best known for. Both pioneers in their own right, this partnership explores the result of bringing together two creative giants. Most notably we see The North Face’s lineup of Retro classics like the 1995 Denali, 1996 Nuptse, and 1986 Mountain jackets immersed in an all-over print that can be characterized as an abstraction of KAWS’ playful line work. Contrasting color-blocked panels against KAWS’ artwork creates a subtle dichotomy between classic utilitarian design and contemporary wit. Additionally, dual embroidered branding can be seen on lighter items like tees, hoodies, and sweatpants with the signature crossed eyes motif and standard The North Face branding. The range is complete with accessories like the Basecamp duffels, Nuptse mittens, and the coveted Nuptse and Thermoball Traction mules. All are complete with the same creative strokes that have been applied to the cohesive range of seasonally ready items.
