GORE-TEX Product Care

While we design our GORE-TEX products to last a lifetime, they still require proper care.

Properly caring for your GORE-TEX garment not only keeps it clean, but can ensure optimal performance. You can wash your garment with other technical apparel, but it is best to avoid washing with heavily soiled garments.

Washing Instructions for GORE-TEX Outerwear

Prepare your Gore-Tex Jacket:

Fully zip all front, pocket, and underarm (pit) zippers.
Secure all flaps and straps.
Loosen all bungee cord locks.

Machine wash on a gentle cycle using warm water (105°F / 40°C).
Use a small amount of technical liquid detergent (We recommend using one of the following brands: Grangers, Revivex).
Rinse thoroughly—preferably twice—and reduce spin speed.

Do not use:
Powder detergents
Fabric softeners
Bleach or stain removers

Tumble dry on a low or warm gentle setting, or line dry.
Avoid high heat, as it may damage the fabric.

Once dry, tumble dry for an additional 20 minutes to reactivate the Durable Water Repellent (DWR) treatment.

This step can be repeated as needed to restore water repellency.

If your jacket no longer beads water effectively after washing, reapplication of DWR may be required. We suggest applying DWR with a spray bottle for even coverage. Grangers and Revivex both offer durable water repellents in the form of a spray bottle.

Apply DWR product , following the manufacturer's instructions.
Tumble dry for 20 minutes to activate the treatment.
